Pre-course: Diagnosis of Endo and Dental Trauma – Selection of the instrumentation system for the management of the different case scenarios
The pre-course will be arranged on Thursday, 27 August 2026 in Tampere, Finland. The course is intended for SkandEndo 2026 congress participants and takes place at Tampere Hall (SkandEndo 2026 congress venue). Read more about the venue here.
The course participation fee is 150 EUR, pre-registration is required in connection with the congress registration, link can be found here.
Note! The number of participants in the hands-on part of the pre-course is limited to ensure sufficient equipment and to maintain a high level of guidance. All pre-course participants are welcome to stay in the lecture hall to observe the hands-on training and lecture. When registering for the pre-course, please indicate whether you would like to participate in the hands-on session by observing or by actively taking part.
Pre-course speaker

Dr. Francesc Abella Sans
Dr. Francesc Abella graduated in 2005 in Dentistry at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (Barcelona, Spain). From 2005 to 2014, he completed his Master’s and PhD in Endodontics at the same university. Currently, he is the Director of the European Master’s Degree in Endodontics (program accredited by the European Society of Endodontology – ESE) and President of the Spanish Society of Conservative and Aesthetic Dentistry (SEOC).

Dr. Abella has delivered numerous lectures, courses, and hands-on workshops worldwide. He also maintains a private practice in Barcelona, focused on endodontics, apical surgery, dental traumatology, and restorative dentistry.
In clinical endodontics, his areas of special interest include:
- Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) in Endodontics
- Microcomputed tomography
- Dental anatomy
- Dental traumatology
- Periapical pathology
- Adhesive restorations and restoration of root-canal-treated teeth
- Autotransplantation and replantation techniques
In addition to his private practice, he is actively involved in postgraduate endodontic research at Universitat Internacional de Catalunya, and is author of several peer-reviewed publications. He has also been part of the expert committee convened by the European Society of Endodontology (ESE) on the use of CBCT.
Dr. Abella is an active member of the Spanish Association of Endodontics (AEDE) and lectures widely throughout Spain and internationally.
