Oral presentation guidelines

To help everything run seamlessly on the day, please review carefully the guidelines:

Timing and format of presentations

Please see the congress programme for your presentation slot. A time will be reserved for questions and discussion after each presentation.

  • Invited presentations: time specified in the programme (including 5 minutes for questions)
  • ePoster presentations: oral presentation time 5 minutes, maximum of 3 slides, no animations are allowed.
Presentation format and file requirements
  • File Type: PowerPoint (.PPT or .PPTX). PDF will only be accepted if PowerPoint is not possible.
  • Aspect ratio: 16:9 (widescreen).
  • Fonts: Use standard system fonts. Minimum font size: 24 pt
  • Videos: Must be embedded within the presentation. Additionally, upload video files separately in MP4 format as a backup.
  • Copyright: Ensure that all media used are copyright compliant.
File naming standard:
  • Format: [Date]_[last name]_[first name]
    Example: 27AUG_Smith_John.pptx
  • If you later upload a new modified version, mark it clearly e.g. NEW_27AUG_Smith_Joh
Submitting your presentation in advance
  • Deadline: Upload your presentation in advance by 23 August.
  • Upload link: Link will be sent to you via email in 12 August.

At the congress, your presentation will be ready on the lecture room computer. Presentations will be deleted from the computer afterwards.

Please note that own computers cannot be used to avoid technical problems.

We recommend that presentations are submitted via the uploader link in advance. If this is not possible, please bring your presentation on a USB flash-drive directly to lecture room. Please deliver your presentation well in advance – no later than the start of the break preceding your presentation.

On the day of your presentation
  • Arrival time: Please arrive at the lecture room latest 20 minutes before the start of your session.
  • Upon arrival, meet the chair, check the technical setup and receive your headset microphone.
  • Technical support: Technicians / congress assistants will be available throughout the programme.

ePoster presentation guidelines

Posters are presented as an electronic poster on the congress app. ePoster is a 1-page PDF-file. The online poster gallery will be accessible to all congress participants during the congress.

  • ePosters are uploaded to the poster gallery of the congress app as 1-page PDF files (portrait orientation).
  • Maximum file size is 10 MB.
  • Further instructions and link to upload the ePoster file will be sent to the poster presenter closer to the congress.
